The alligator has inhabited the earth for millions of years, and in shamanic traditions they symbolize a source of primal energy and wisdom. An alligator tooth is sometimes worn around the neck for strength, and these preserved alligator heads are great for altars or displays.

All parts of the alligator can be used hoodoo & conjure, but the head is considered especially protective. We can trace the roots of the use of the alligator to the veneration of crocodiles in Africa
